Ach, der arme Reisende: da ist er nun in eine ferne Stadt gereist – mehr oder weniger bequem und komfortabel – und in einem Zimmer gelandet – mehr oder weniger zufällig oder (un)gewollt -, in dem ihm nahe gelegt wird, es für die Dauer seines Aufenthaltes nicht zu verlassen, und sich stattdessen auf weitere Reisen zu begeben.

Ach, der glückliche Reisende: bequem, frei von Wetterkapriolen, ohne den ermüdenden Anblick ewig gleicher Fußgängerzonen, sicher vor Nepp und Schlepp, unter Vermeidung des bedrückenden Anblicks einer einschüchternden Kathedrale und deren überfülltem Umfeld, soll er sich hier auf eine Reise in noch fernere Welten einlassen.

Warum denn eigentlich nicht? Warum nicht mit einem guten, alten Whiskey in Reichweite, genüsslich ein beliebiges Buch aufschlagen und sich davonmachen. Wie sagte der Polnische Schriftsteller Joseph Conrad so klug: „Die weitesten Reisen unternimmt man im Kopf.“ Und wie weise sind die Beduinen: „Liebe Alles, was Dich davonträgt, zum Beispiel Kamele, Pferde… und“, wie ich hinzufügen möchte, „ … Bücher!“

We were there for the second time and are simply delighted with the hotel once again. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and every single room is just so well furnished. The next short holiday in this hotel is already planned 🙂

Beautiful and fairly central location in a lively neighbourhood. Wonderful, spotlessly clean room with a good bed and great breakfast. Service and booking, as well as help with problem solving (self-inflicted) was perfect. Thanks again for that! You have to be aware that the parking facilities are a few metres away from the hotel itself (but at a reasonable price) and that the hotel does not have a lift. On hot summer nights, the lack of air conditioning (at least in this room under the roof) could be a the roof) could be a drawback, but was not an issue during this stay. Overall a great stay stay and a highly recommended accommodation. We will be back.

WAmazing Stay in the 'Big in Japan' Room! I had a fantastic stay at this theme hotel! The Big in Japan room was beautifully designed with great attention to detail, creating an incredible atmosphere. The quality of the room was top-notch, and everything felt well thought out. The staff was extremely welcoming and made the experience even better. Overall, a wonderful stay-I would definitely book again!

Room was clean and very nice, reception very friendly. Nice little touches little touches such as kettle, hot water bottle, coffee/tea, hairdryer and hair straightener. We were thrilled! The price-performance ratio is definitely right. The city centre and train station, as well as numerous cafés and bistros are within easy walking distance. The "Big in Japan" room has a friendly, quiet atmosphere to make you feel at home.

We felt completely at ease and would come back anytime! come back again! Bonito y muy céntrico Nos encantó el hotel. La habitación era amplia y luminosa. Algún día que llovió nos quedamos en la habitación y pudimos sentirnos cómodos. El único inconveniente fue subir hasta el 4rto piso sin ascensor. Esto hará que no repitamos la experiencia. Pero si no tienen problemas en subir escaleras esta muy cerca del centro, a 20 min del Dom andando. Lo recomiendo! A 15-20 min andando del centre

Feel-good rooms in a city hotel - simply great. I particularly liked the fact that there are different themed rooms. This creates a very individual and personal atmosphere. You can see a lot of attention to detail in the rooms and the hotel should retain this. Simply beautiful. The breakfast at the Hotel Mercure was was also very appealing and there was plenty to choose from. We'll see you again :-).
